Dr. Robert Wack Leaving Non-Profit He Founded
WESTMINSTER, MD – September 29th, 2021 – The Mid-Atlantic Gigabit Innovation Collaboratory (MAGIC) has announced the resignation of its founder Dr. Robert Wack, MD from his role as President of MAGIC’s Board of Directors.
The reason for Wack’s departure is his new role as Deputy Health Officer with the Carroll County Health Department.
“I’m thrilled for Dr. Wack and our community that he has this opportunity to lead our county health department,” said Graham Dodge, the Executive Director of MAGIC. “But saddened to lose his dedicated governance of our board, and his leadership of our Healthy Smart Home Project.”
Wack has served as President of MAGIC’s Board of Directors since its inception in 2016. He is also the lead researcher and driving force behind the organization’s Healthy Smart Home Project which provides research and development of Internet-of-Things (IoT) technology solutions for Target Community and Educational Services, Inc in Westminster, Maryland.
“My heart will always be with MAGIC, and I know they are in good hands,” said Wack. “But my focus just needs to be with the health department right now.”
