Knowledge is power. Power to forge the technological highway. Power to take control of your individual learning needs. Power to succeed. Successful tech professionals come out of strong educational backgrounds, enriched by tech experiences like MAGIC’s educational programs.
MAGIC is supporting the tech ecosystem by building relationships between the educational institutions in Carroll County, the tech community, corporate partners, and local government. These programs work to provide an environment of discovery that surrounds the individual with like-minded techies, supporters, and mentors.
These secondary learning opportunities are available for high school to college aged students. We also provide workforce development learning for adults transitioning to the tech sector.

Introduction to Electronics using Arduino
Interested in understanding the basics of electronics? Arduino is an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software. Arduino boards/controllers are able to read inputs – light on a sensor, a finger on a button, or a Twitter message – and turn it into an output – activating a motor, turning on an LED, publishing something online. Each project builds on the last and students gain a great understanding of electronic basics.
Workshops are offered for middle-schools aged students and 16+ individuals several time a year. Check our Events page for availability.
Step Challenge(formally Hackathon)
We have changed the name, but the exciting competition has been updated for today’s young entrepreneur.
