StartUp Lab Pilot Program
The StartUp Lab, a pilot program designed to provide valuable guidance and support to STEM startup companies in Carroll County, Maryland is an initiative that aims to foster growth, innovation, collaboration, and community within the local tech ecosystem.
StartUp Lab was developed in collaboration with the Maryland Department of Commerce, the Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO) and Startup Portal, with support from the Carroll County Department of Economic Development.
This is a year-long program featuring four quarterly in-person meetings with support between meetings. The meetings will include mentors and participating tech startup companies. During these sessions, companies will have the opportunity to discuss challenges as well as receive guidance and coaching in a peer-supported environment.
Participant Criteria:
- Five to six mentors will guide five to six selected tech startup entrepreneurs.
- All companies must have their business located in Carroll County or be Carroll County residents planning to establish and grow their business in the County within 12 months.
