Yet, amidst the glitz of metropolitan areas, Main Street faces unique challenges that require targeted support for business incubation and startups. These grassroots efforts are crucial for fostering economic growth, driving innovation, and revitalizing communities. MAGIC works to build that ecosystem with several startup centric opportunities.
Startup Lab
The StartUp Lab is a program designed to provide valuable guidance and support to technology centric startup companies in Carroll County, Maryland. This initiative aims to foster growth, innovation, collaboration, and community within the local tech ecosystem.
StartUp Lab was developed in collaboration with the Maryland Department of Commerce, the Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO) and Startup Portal, with support from the Carroll County Department of Economic Development.
This is a 12 month program featuring four quarterly in-person meetings with support between meetings. The meetings will include mentors and participating tech startup companies. During these sessions, companies will have the opportunity to discuss challenges as well as receive guidance and coaching in a peer-supported environment.

The Westminster Angel Network dinners are network investment events that connect angel investors with promising startups.
Whether you are a new or experienced investor, angel group leader or part of the broader community supporting entrepreneurs and early-stage investments, you’ll benefit from the connects you make from our events.

Educating, inspiring, and connecting entrepreneurs. Join MAGIC every other Wednesday morning as we bring together our local entrepreneur community for a morning of collaboration, inspiration, and conversation. Meetings are always free to attend, with complimentary coffee and pastries provided.

Innovators of Progress is a organization that supports college students in their dreams of entrepreneurship.
MAGIC helps to support this pre-accelerator for students to explore entrepreneurship and develop their ideas through Customer Discovery and Customer Validation. Admitted scholars are ambitious, high-achieving students that want to make a difference in their communities and their respective fields.
